Whiteflies have become a serious threat to West Palm Beach and Palm Beach County’s ornamental landscaping and palm trees and have caused millions of dollars of damage. These tiny pests feed on more than five hundred species of plants including: ficus, hibiscus, gerbera daisy, lantana, coconut palms and white bird of paradise. That problem isn’t going away anytime soon because whiteflies are becoming immune to the natural and chemical pesticide products that commercial and residential lawn fertilization and pest control companies have been using, making us have to try and stay ahead of the curve with new and different products recommended by the University of Florida. Our logo is a lady bug beetle, which is one of the few natural predators whiteflies have.
Whiteflies are Becoming Immune to the Natural and Chemical Pesticide Products That West Palm Beach Commercial and Residential Lawn Fertilization and Pest Control Services Have Been Using, Making Us Have to Try New and Different Products Recommended by the University of Florida
Whiteflies feed on your West Palm Beach and Jupiter plants and trees by secreting a substance that removes the sap from inside the host plant cutting off vital nutrients. The loss of nutrients can cause yellowing, disfiguration, defoliation and in extreme circumstances death of the host tree or plant. They also excrete what is called “honey dew”, which causes the rapid growth of a black mold which then covers everything in the infected area with a hard to remove layer of black soot.

Some home remedies for whiteflies include combinations of white vinegar, dish washing detergent and baking soda, but whiteflies are learning to adapt to those too. In heavily infested plants and trees it can provide temporary relief to simply blast the whiteflies with a garden hose. But while you may buy yourself some time, it doesn’t solve the underlying problem.
Our company has trained pesticide professionals that have been treating West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter, Florida’s ornamental landscaping plants and trees for all types of whiteflies for decades and have the expertise to get the job done right the first time at a price you can afford.
